Machiato

A machiato, also known as a caffè macchiato, is an espresso-based coffee drink that is typically served in a small, ceramic cup. It is made with a shot of espresso and a small amount of steamed milk, which gives it a layered and rich flavor.

Here are the steps to prepare a machiato at home:

  1. Brew espresso: Start by brewing a shot of espresso using an espresso machine or stovetop espresso maker. If you don't have an espresso machine, you can also use strong brewed coffee as a substitute.

  2. Steam milk: Heat a small amount of milk using a milk frother or heat the milk on the stove or in the microwave.
  3. Pour milk: Pour the steamed milk into the espresso shot, holding back the foam with a spoon to create a layered effect.
  4. Serve and enjoy: Serve your machiato hot and enjoy the rich and flavorful taste of a café-style machiato in the comfort of your own home.

Note: A traditional machiato is a single shot of espresso with a small amount of steamed milk. However, you can adjust the amount of milk to your liking. Also, experiment with different types of milk such as whole milk, almond milk, or oat milk to find your preferred taste and texture
